  1. Your router address is not but something else. Not every router has this IP address. Check the back side of the router or the user manual for IP details.
  2. Check the network cable or the connection. Also, make sure the router is turned on.
  3. I recommend you to go through the user manual of the router. Many times, user manual has guidance when you face connection issues with the router.

If you are on a Windows platform then follow below steps:

  1. Click ‘Run’ or search in the start menu and type ‘cmd.’
  2. CMD will open the command prompt.
  3. Type ‘ipconfig/all’
  4. You will see a bunch of IP addresses. One of them will mention as ‘Default Gateway’ IP Address, and that will be the IP address of your router.

Macintosh or Apple platform

If you are on a Macintosh platform then follow below steps:

  1. Click the Apple icon and open system preferences.
  2. Click and open Network.
  3. You can see the router IP address as below

Note: Above steps stand true even if you are wired directly to the router.
