Is it hard for you to control your raging appetite & eat too much at a go? Do you frequently suffer from heartburn right after having your meals? Does your upset stomach disturb your work & sleep?

If yes, then your pitta dosha might have gone out of balance. Pitta dosha in our body corresponds to fire present in nature. Its functions are exactly similar to that of fire. Pitta controls digestion, metabolism, transformation, & body temperature.

Pitta types should take diet having more sweet, bitter, & astringent tastes. While sour, salty, & pungent tastes increase pitta. You should eat in accord with the following Ayurvedic dietary rules:

  • Eat your meals with a calm mind to assess your appetite
  • Never eat when you are angry, upset or stressed
  • Always avoid over-eating & do not eat late during the night
  • Three regular meals are enough for your body’s complete nutrition. This also prevents binge eating
