  • Add old harvested cereals like wheat, peas, maize, sorghum, bajra, wild Kodo millets, & especially barley. Barley reduces fat, checks frequent urination, & keeps your body organs healthy
  • It’s best to eat a mixed flour made of equal quantity of barley, gram, soybean, wheat, and one-fourth part of fenugreek seeds
  • Eat vegetables like bitter gourd, drumstick, cucumber, onion, garlic, snake gourd, aloe vera & fresh green leafy vegetables
  • Try adding neem leaves, bael leaves, fenugreek, black pepper, turmeric, ginger, rock salt, & asafoetida to your vegetables
  • Eat beans like Bengal gram, horse gram, green grams & pigeon peas.

Germinated black gram mixed with half a cup of bitter gourd juice & some honey, once a day is one of the most useful treatment for diabetes.

  • Use cooking oils like sesame oil, linseed oil, wild castor oil
  • Drink buttermilk mixed with powders of dry ginger, black pepper, & long pepper
  • Eat fruits like wood apple, watermelon, grapes, Indian gooseberry, Indian blackberry, guava, orange. Avoid sweet fruits like banana, mango, custard apple, dates
  • Mix one teaspoon each of turmeric & amla juice in warm water or warm milk twice a day. It prevents as well as cures diabetes
  • Take a tablespoon of soaked fenugreek seeds overnight on an empty stomach regularly

Say no to all kinds of processed foods, refined breakfast cereals, white bread, white sugar, sweets, tuberous vegetables, vinegar, yogurt, pickles, cold drinks, ice cream, jams & jellies, candies & sweet sauces

Eat your meals only when you feel hungry, not just because of time. Do not take your food in a hurry & concentrate on your meal while eating. Do not sit or sleep after a meal but take a brisk walk.

The practice of yoga, particularly Pranayama i.e., breath control exercises, is beneficial for attaining mental peace and relieving stress. Yoga postures help in better glucose utilization & reduce the requirement of drugs.
