Blac Youngsta, the American rapper who is signed to Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group label is worth $1.3 million. Youngsta is one such celeb who has lived through rags to riches. Early Life

Sammie Marques Benson, famous by his stage name Blac Youngsta was born into a low-income family in south Memphis. Hunger and poverty lead him to steal food from the grocery store he worked at and eventually even became a drug dealer.

However, several arrests, he decided to put his rapping talents to better use and became a part of Memphis Rap scene and began to release mixtapes.

Career

When Blac Youngsta was in prison, he seriously considered on a music career and began to rap. Upon his release, he worked on his first mixtape “Fast Brick” and self-released in 2012, which allegedly earned him around $50,000. Within few months he released his second mixtape Fast Bricks 2, which gained him a wider fan base.

After self-releasing two albums, Youngsta was signed by Empire, and he released his third mixtape Fas Bricks 3 in 2014. Blac Youngsta gained nationwide recognition for his 2014 rap hit “Heavy”.  Some of his other mixtapes include I Swear to God, Fuck Everybody, Illuminati and I’m Innocent.

In 2016, Blac Youngsta released his debut album “Young & Reckless”. His recent album is “2.23” which was released in 2018.

Blac Youngsta has also appeared on several music videos of different artists like 3 Way, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, Keep Good First, Oblivion, Designer Remix and Humble Beast.

Controversies

Blac Youngsta is not new to arrests and prisons. However, he has not been a part of many controversial issues post his debut in the music career. Youngsta shares a longtime feud with fellow rapper Young Dolph.

Recently, Dolph’s SUV was shot several times and fortunately since the car was bulletproof, no one got harmed.

Youngsta, however, turned himself in and was charged with six counts of discharging a weapon and conspiracy felony.
