James Prince, popularly known by the name J. Prince, is the CEO of Rap-a-lot Records and also the boxing manager to some of the famous athletes. The 53-year-old businessman is worth $45 million as of 2018. After serving the music and athlete community for more than two decades, Prince is now working towards making his communities and neighbourhood a place to live in peace.


Prince’s company Rap-a-lot has been in existence for over two decades now. The company, which got incorporated in 1986, focuses on rap scene and hip-hop acts. He later found his interest in boxing and served as a boxing manager to the famous athletes Andre Ward and Floyd Mayweather.

In 2010 Prince was honoured at the VH1 7th annual Hip Hop Honors Awards for his exemplary work and philanthropic contributions.

In 2015, James Prince lost his $75,000 diamond encrusted watch at the Las Vegas airport. A stranger, however, found his watch and returned it to J Prince, who immediately rewarded him.

After his AIDS campaign became very successful, Houston City Council and Houston Mayor Bill White honoured Prince by naming a day in his honour on 30th January 2007.
