Early Life

Jason Statham was born in Shirebrook, Derbyshire. In his youth, Statham practised Kung fu, Kickboxing and karate while working at local market stalls. Statham was an avid footballer and a diver.

He practised every day to perfect his diving skills and was a member of Britain’s National Swimming Squad for twelve years.

He has acted in more than 40 films including Snatch, The Transporter series, Collateral, The Expendables series, Fast & Furious 6, Spy and The Fate of the Furious. With excellent training in martial arts, Jason Statham is well known for performing his stage combats and stunts.

Statham was even criticised for doing similar movies and for lacking depth and creativity during the 2000s and 2010s.
