Ingredients You need:

  • A Clean Spray bottle
  • Water
  • Vinegar or Apple cider vinegar
  • baking soda

How To Make It?

In a bottle take a half tablespoon of baking soda and fill it with a half cup of warm water. Next, fill the bottle with one cup of vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Mix them and shake well. Store it in a cool and dry place.

Homemade Flea Spray Made With Lemon

Lemon is a great ingredient to keep flea away from your pets. It consists of citrus which is also known as D-limonene which has a power to destroy bugs and flea.

Ingredients You Need:

  • A Clean Spray bottle
  • Knife
  • Container to boil
  • Strainer
  • Lemon
  • Water

How To Make It?

Slice lemon into a thin piece with the help of a knife. Keep the lemon pieces in a container filled with water and boil them in a low heat flame for 30 minutes.  After 30 minutes is over off the flame and soak the lemon into the water overnight. In the morning remove lemons from the water with the help of a strainer. Pour the water into the bottle and do not forget to add some vinegar to it. Your lemon flea spray is ready.

How To use homemade flea spray

  • Do not use the spray on nose, mouth, ears and eyes of your pet
  • Spray it at least from a distance of 7 inches
  • Use it with a flea comb
  • Spray it wherever your pet goes or sits. Be it bedding, furniture or carpet
  • Let the spray to dry and do not wash it off

Some Other Methods to Kill Flea

Some essential oils

Mix these oil with some water, pour it in a bottle and spray it in your pet’s body but do not try to spray it in their sensitive parts.


Take salt and use a grinder to make a fine powder of salt. Spread these powders wherever you find any flea. It will dry the shiny layers of the flea which will cause their death. This method is only effective in very wet or humid weather.


Mix borax with some water and sprinkle it everywhere you find flea. Next day vacuum every corner of the house wherever you find borax.
