Almost everybody, or at least who I know has more than two Email accounts. Since Gmail is the most widely used email service across the globe, people have multiple Gmail accounts too. I have seen many people who operate one Gmail ID for doing one kind of business. Even myself! I have one account on which I take subscriptions, one account I use for banking, jobs, and education stuff, and one for my social media accounts. Now, what if I want to access all of my accounts at once? Is it possible?
Yes, it is!
It’s a small process of three steps that will allow you to access more than one Gmail account in the same browser!
And it’s not through any extension or third party. Google itself has provided the Multiple-Sign-in feature in the Gmail web application as well as the mobile app.

Also, it is impossible to sign in with different accounts by opening Gmail in separate tabs. You may be disappointed if you try. Below is what happens when you try to sign into different accounts from two tabs:
However, in the earlier days, the only option to sign into multiple email accounts was by opening a different browser. It was a small problem to tackle though, but Google got down to the nitty-gritty of things and created the perfect email service.
That’s precisely why there are over 1.2 Billion Gmail Users today! From 900 Million in 2015 and 425 Million in 2012, Gmail users have increased exponentially!
With that many users, knowing how to access two Google accounts from one browser is essential:
Step 1 – Sign in using a Gmail account (from any browser)
To be able to access various accounts from the same browser, you first need to sign in from one account.
Only then you can proceed with adding the second account you want to access.
You can sign in by going to mail.google.com or gmail.com, but they redirect you to accounts.google.com for signing in.
Step 2 – Click on the thumbnail picture & “Add Account.”
After logged in, you will find a thumbnail of your profile picture on the top right corner.
You will now see an option to ‘Add Account’. From here, you get directed to sign in with another account.
Now sign in using the second account you want to access.
Step 3 – Toggle or Switch between your Gmail Accounts
Once you sign in using the secondary account, you get another web application of an account. Only this time, it’s the secondary one.
Now that you have your primary account opened in one tab, and the second in another, you can toggle or switch between your accounts too.
When you click on the top right profile thumbnail again, from the primary account. You see the option to switch to your secondary account.
When you click on the secondary account’s top right thumbnail, you get the option to turn to your primary account.
This way you can access multiple accounts from the same browser.
